What is VLT?

VLT stands for Visible Light Transmission, and it's a percentage that measures how much light passes through ski goggles

  • Higher VLT

Lighter, more transparent lenses that allow more light through. These are good for low-light conditions.

  • Lower VLT

Darker lenses that allow less light through. These are good for sunny conditions.

Here are some examples of VLT ratings :

  • 08–24%: For full sun

  • 20–42%: For days with mixed clouds

  • 40–79%: For overcast or stormy conditions & for night skiing

Most SKADI Goggles range around 24% - 27% VLT making them the best all-rounder goggles.
